More Than Just a Care Job

Working in care means being trusted with some of the most personal parts of another person's life. At Sukoon Care, we want our carers to feel valued, listened to and supported, because people who feel supported themselves are better able to provide the kind of care we expect.

We want you to have the time to get to know the people you support their routines, personalities, families, culture, faith and the little things that matter to them. We don't want care to feel like rushing from one task to another. We want you to build trust and leave someone's home knowing you made a difference to their day.

You'll never be expected to know everything from day one. We'll provide training, guidance and ongoing support, and we want our carers to feel comfortable asking questions, raising concerns and telling us when something could be done better.

Most importantly, we want people who genuinely care. Skills can be developed. Training can be provided. But kindness, patience, respect and the desire to make someone's life a little better are where good care begins.
